Netiquette Definition

Netiquette is a combination of the words internet and etiquette. Netiquette is simply the proper etiquette used in cyber space.

• Netiquette is necessary because the internet is a kind of culture; and all cultures have certain rules and regulations that must be followed.

• People who are new to the internet often make mistakes because they are not familiar with proper netiquette. 

•  It is unacceptable to intentionally break netiquette rules, and it is important that all cyber citizens familiarize themselves with these rules.
